Welcome to the mediaspace_09 Wiki

Mediaspace_09 has been initiated on the invitation of the Wand 5 e.V.. The idea of this experiment was to bring together an online-curator-team of artists and curators from various backgrounds to develop the concept for >media space 09 – open space<.

Finally the discussion wanted to achieve a combined concept and produce a selective list of artistic works, which correlates to each individual participant and at the same time expands their own artistic horizons.

The project will be presented to an international audience with the Stuttgarter Filmwinter from January 21st to 25th 2009.

Mediaspace_09 geht auf eine Initiative von Wand 5 e.V. zurück. Die Idee dieses Experiments war es ein Online-Kuratoren-Team von Künstlern und Kuratoren aus den unterschiedlichsten Erfahrungsbereichen zusammenzubringen, um ein neues Konzept für den >media space 09 – open space< zu erarbeiten.

Ergebnis der Diskussion sollte schliesslich ein gemeinsames Konzept, sowie die Präsentation einer Auswahlliste künstlerischer Arbeiten sein, die den jeweiligen Ansprüchen der einzelnen Beteiligten entspricht, und zugleich eine Erweituerung ihres eigenen Horizonts bedeutet.

Das Projekt wird vom 21. bis zum 25. Januar 2009 im Umfeld des Stuttgarter Filmwinter einem internationalem Publikum präsentiert.
